    May She Kick'th Much Ass!!

The moment has arrived! Ever since it was announced on the View all comic book fans have been talking about is the new Thor. Marvel wanted to change things up, and this issue definitely does that, but just to warn people, this first issue is setting the stage so we only get an introduction to this new character, as most of the issue deals with Thor's fall as he can no longer lift his beloved hammer. For those of you scratching your heads asking when the hell this happened, in issue #7 of Original Sin, Nick Fury was able to see all of the secrets in the universe when holding the watchers eye, and he whispered something to Thor, and in that moment he dropped his hammer on the moon and could not lift it any longer. What did he say? We don't know yet, but for you Thor fans out there, don't worry he's not out of this yet!

Ah .... okay, maybe he's a little down on his luck right now, and has to ride a flying goat... but come on, who hasn't been there, am I right? Fuck man, I just really relate to that goat right now... he's like ... I didn't sign up for this shit! What can Thor do though? Frost giants are attacking Earth and Malekith is running around drowning people, there just needs to be a Thor, right?

This issue offers a lot more change then it leads on. Thor has a fantastic fight with Malekith, but he's not the God of Thunder anymore much to Malekith's surprise. Malekith toys with Thor, before landing the final blow and chopping of Thor's arm with his own axe. When this happened, I must admit I got very excited... That sounds bad I know, but you have to understand that writer Jason Aaron has been telling stories of Old King Thor , when he finally takes the place of Odin. In these tales, King Thor does not wield the hammer, he is missing an eye, as well as an arm. Instead he has a sweet metal arm, and uses a big ass sword, all while rocking a badass eye patch, which I recommend that everyone does.

So Thor is moving forward in his story and continues to grow as a character, and it will be fun to watch knowing his eventual fate. In the mean time, what are the people of Earth to do? There must always be a Thor right? Well, we may not get all our answers right away, but our new heroine gets a very cool and ominous setup, as the hammer ignites with energy at her touch, and the inscription changes.... If She be worthy...

Thor no longer wields Mjolnir and has sunk to the deepest levels of despair. The Good:Jason Aaron & Russell Dauternan do a great job of conveying to the reader Thor's desperation over no longer being able to wield Mjolnir. From facial expressions to body language the reader is immediately able to sympathize with Thor's plight in this issue. Another great underlying issue in this comic is the rivalry between Freya and Odin. Freya has been in charge during his leave of absence and clearly has ...

      She-Thor is a terrible Introduction 0

I've already had enough problems with a new Female "Thor" replacing the God of Thunder. But this new comic is just bad. It does not show anything new other than Thor cannot lift his hammer for some reason. And the last shot of the comic shows the "New Thor" lifting the hammer WITHOUT doing anything. Seriously, nothing happens. It is a terrible introduction to a terrible change to such a beloved character. I am not nor will I ever refer to this new character as "Thor", because there is only one ...
