The issue has several developments in the characterization and subplots of the characters. *First the X-Men officialy graduate, gaining diplomas which signify finishing preparatory school. You would think they would be discussing going off to college education next. Instead only Cyclops entertains the idea of leaving his current school. So, graduation or not, nobody is leaving. Unless you count Xavier himself who is taking a temporary leave, attenting to mysterious personal matters. *Cyclops ...

Though the villains are making little progress, the X-Men are finally developing both as individual characters and as a team. For two issues in a row now, in far better style than their "final exam" on Asteroid M, the X-Men operate as a team. Beautiful Blob & Beast's Eye Feet 2
Overview Graduation episode!! Erm issue. This was a cool little story. Lots of character advancement. Xavier rather creepily goes on some sort of random secret mission. (I think its a safe assumption that it has to do with Jean that or he is trolling iceman again) Cerebro is introduced and so is one of the many Cafe/Coffee houses that the 05 would spend time chillaxin at. The Graduation Evacuation 0
In the six previous books, there has apparently been enough time passed for the X-Men to fully go through prep school AND their specialized mutant power training. Ridiculous. I really wish they hadn't just skipped forward for no apparent reason. The just lost the ability to let us watch them grow. Now, if you're reading All-New X-Men in 2012/2013 then this little skip in time is perfect, because the X-Men from the 1960's are pulled into 2012 by Beast. Not sure that all of those dates are accurat...

Another sub-par issue of the X-Men here. The best thing about this issue is that the X-Men graduate, and Professor X chooses Cyclops to be their new leader.What follows is a pretty standard battle with the Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, with their latest recruit, The Blob.But there's a lot of problems here - during a fight with Magneto, The Blob hits his head and just happens to remember that his memory was erased and decides to join Magneto.
