The Word is an utter mystery, no one knows his origins or what the exact nature of his powers is. What is known is that he is an expert at acquiring information. The Word has no mouth and can't speak, he communicates only through the manipulation of the written word. He has the ability to remove print from a source (paper, computer screen, etc) and transfer it to his skin as well as the ability to cling to a surface like a word on a page. He was last seen working for the immortal villain Vandal Savage and against DEO member Cameron Chase. He hasn't made an appearance since.
