Wake up! Read The WAKE! 0

Do you remember the Eighty’s? A time when horror movies where original? Remember such films as ALIEN? Or THE THING? Scott Snyder of Batman fame sure does, and it really show’s in his new book The Wake from VERTIGO/DC comics.The story starts off well enough, we meet an unnamed blue haired girl, who just happens to be gliding above the flooded ruins of a once great city. Waterworld Meets Good Writing 0

THE GOODPage 4 and page 20. You're welcome. Sean Murphy doesn't have to draw well for the rest of the series. There're also plenty of nice splashes throughout (the helicopter at the start of Chapter 3, the guy with the screwed up face on page 23, and page 24 (though not a splash)).At some point, Scott Snyder is going to stop doing horror comics and I will be very sad. New Snyder Book! 0

It's really refreshing to get in on the ground floor of a creator's new idea. And with a writer who is continually climbing the the ladder of awesome its just great to read something like this.What We can Love About The Book:I really loved the art all the way through the issue. The two pg first part was neat and I felt It was a good hook. In the second part started off slow and this and part 3 take up the longest part of the book and seems to be the driving story for the book overall. I reall...
