The Unnamed

Creation

The Unnamed Universe (sometimes referred to as The Geigerverse by fans, named after the first title of the shared universe) was the brainchild of Geoff Johns and his production company, Mad Ghost, published through Image Comics. Early promotional material for Geiger included a timeline of events referring to each of The Unnamed, strange heroes throughout history, as well as The Unknown War and a "Great Evil" that must be stopped.

At New York Comic Con 2023, it was announced that The Unnamed would be moved to Ghost Machine, a production company that would be home to four total product lines.

The Timeline of Major Events

• 1776 - Redcoat becomes immortal
• 1864 - The Northerner begins his hunt
• November 4, 1892 - Redcoat meets Albert Einstein
• 1944 - The Monster is made
• 1972 - Junkyard Joe comes online
• January 28, 1973 - The first Junkyard Joe comic strip is published.
• 1997 - American Widow X has her revenge
• 2019 - Redcoat was hired to hunt The Monster
• 2020 - Joe reunited with Muddy Davis
• 2025 - The First Ghost is captured on film
• 2030 - The Unknown War erupts
• June 24, 2042 - Geiger finds his two headed pet, Barney
• 2050 - Geiger walks across America

The Unnamed

Redcoat

First appearance: Geiger 80-Page Giant

Redcoat's real name is Simon Pure, a member of the British army, who was sent to the American colonies to suppress the revolution. He was exposed to magic from a cabal called The Founding Fathers, making him immortal.

The Northerner

First Appearance: Junkyard Joe (2022) #6

The Northerner is a member of the Union Army during the American Civil War.

The Monster

First appearance: IMAGE! 30th Anniversary Anthology #1

The Monster is a tall, bipedal creature with white skin and razor sharp teeth. It torments its prey with psychic visions of their own guilt. It was dubbed "The Blizzard" by the Arapaho of Colorado. It was tagged with a GPS tracker by a shadowy government agency, but it lost it after a run in with a prison transport.

Junkyard Joe

First appearance: Geiger (2021) #5

Joe was a Vietnam War era military robot placed on a platoon call The Junkyard Dogs. He was thought lost in the field when he only managed to save one of his fellow platoon members. Years later, he showed up to that lone survivor's house believing him to be his creator.

Geiger

First appearance: Geiger (2021) #1

Geiger was a family man with a strange form of cancer that didn't seem to be causing him problems. When the Unknown War erupted and a nuclear weapon was dropped close to Gieger's house, he was supernaturally irradiated into a superhuman. He now walks the dystopian country as a folk legend.
