    Now powerless and depressed, Storm is taken in by the mutant Forge, who tries to alleviate her anguish. Meanwhile, Dr. Valerie Cooper is attacked by Dire Wraiths!

    Today is probably going to be the saddest day Ororo has ever gone through in her life, she has lost her powers, her life and everything that ever made her what she is all thanks to the mutant inventor Forge. In this issue of The Uncanny X-men we see how Storm will ever cope with the loss of her powers how she survives and most of all will she forgive Forge? After got shot by Forge's invention used by Henry Gyrich, Forge rescued Storm and took her to her apartment at Eagle Plaza. There they share a mutual respect and interest by each other. Meanwhile Professor X and Nightcrawler are looking for Storm but can't reach her even with Cerebro. In Mississipi, a Dire Wraith attacks and kills Val Cooper's partner and then tries to kill her, but Rogue rescue her even being mad at her because last issue attack. Storm listen a phone talk between Forge and Gyrich and discovers it was Forge who invented the gun. She gets mad and runs away from the building.

    The story is of Ororo Munroe lamenting the loss of her powers to feel and control weather. She’s taken in by Forge, the man who designed the science-gun which robbed her of her powers. She does not know of this or that Forge’s technology even comes from him being a mutant. He’s a Cheyenne Vietnam veteran and a double (hand, leg) amputee with a touch of post traumatic stress disorder.Barry Windsor-Smith draws all the interior art.
