Hope is the Key
The Good - it was a warming story (Hope going to meet his Grandmother), nothing superb, just ok to see Hope's job as the "messiah", and I didn´t understand Stark's role in this issue, as he'd met Emma Frost to a fancy dinner. Let´s see how the story evolves. The art was ok too, nothing remarkable. Cypher not understanding Dr. Nemesis' sarcastic remarks was very funny. I don´t know where they are going with Kitty, but the news in this issue wasn´t the greatest, something bad is coming.
The Bad - despite the fact that Rogue is in India (in X-Men Legacy), the down for me was the art, mostly the expressions (or lack of it) in the characters' faces, like when they tell Hope's mom was dead, her face didn´t acted as the feeling of receiving such news; I didn´t like the white pannels as breaking grounds; Logan was showing Kurt's picture to whom? Scott on page 7 is saying goodbye to Emma and appears in Tokyo and on page 8 he´s with Emma again? And then he is flying a plane (probably to Japan) on page 18? Come on guys, what a mess!!!
The best in this issue was the "Rebuilding" story, way better than this "Five Lights" mess, I would prefer Olivier Coipel on the X-Men much more than Portacio's, but he´d penciled Colossus' bashed arm wrong (it´s the left one, and he did the right one)!!.
3 out 5 of Five Lights
