The Fall of Mutants
Reading comic book arcs without context can run the risk of not connecting as much with the story and its characters, and that's what may have happened to me here, in general not being as great as its predecessors Dark Phoenix and Future Past and feel that it was a bit of a "trip" with that conflict of realities and timelines at the end, notice that the whole plot of the mutant registration act bears a certain resemblance to the registration of heroes later in Civil War (some kind of inspiration?), I've always had my questions about Claremont's detailed writing, but here it's improved (for me) with more room for character relationships and action scenes, the emphasis on the female cast, especially Storm in her responsibility as new X-Men leader and in her quest to regain her powers, and on one of my favorite mutants Rogue.
