story is opening up
I basically hate time travel stories because I find them confusing at best. Getting that out of my system leaves me nothing but praises for this series. I love the characters and all their unique abilities, looks and language; I love the artwork by Gabriel Ba who has spurned a whole new style for me to admire.
Child 00.05 has time traveled (before he was given a name). The Monocle is dead. The team of Umbrella Academy children have assembled back at the estate for the funeral and because they are together again, a software program waiting for such an event has released villainous robots on the local pavilion of citizens. That's some tricky computer programming!
Cool new villains are introduced as well. The Orchestra is trying to recruit Vanya, the poor child who's special ability of music was determined by The Monocle to be of no use in saving the world so she was never really part of the team. However, this group of evil-doers is looking at her skills with particular interest.
Can't wait for more!
