What I think: IDW is doing a great job with the Regeneration of Marvel's original Transformers. The variant covers pay tribute to the original art style as well. Unfortunately the art in the book left something to be desired. I'm not sure if it was because the crammed a lot into a small space or if they intentionally left out detail from the images. Again they may be going for that classic look but it's not really working. They story is great and we see Optimus battling Megatron. Optimus has to decide to what extreme he will go to in order to stop Megatron from destroying those he cares about and the entire planet. We also see Buster (Circuit Smasher) and the Wreckers infiltrate the Ark to shut down Auntie. I can't wait to see where they take this series considering RiD and MtMtE are both "Robot" centered and this one takes place on Earth.
