Transformers More than Meets the Eye comic #40

This month's issue of Transformers MTMTE was good. I liked the nod to Infiltration (the first story of the main Transformers IDWverse) at the beginning with Ratchet in a flashback on earth with Hunter. It makes me wonder what could've happened if Furman was able to continue his -ation stories on earth with the human characters but I suppose this, like a lot of what if scenarios, will always be left unanswered. I liked the scene where Ultra Magnus and Rodimus were deciding Brainstorm's fate. We get to see more of Magnus' personality and find out why Brainstorm became a Decepticon. It looks like Rodimus is sitting next to Xaaron but we don't get a very good look at him. That's what I like about this series. They don't tell you all the characters on the ship. Every issue, a new character might appear who was on the Lost Light's ship the entire time. I'm still not quite sure how Megatron's decision to become an Autobot is suppose to make him more interesting. Roberts has mostly been more of a writer who write good storie you can enjoy in the moment of reading them rather than create suspense or leave the reader wanting more. Ten was a funny character in the book. He reminds me of Bulkhead from Transformers Animated, he's a lovable lummox won likes to draw. If you're like me and try to skim through a comic with dense writing, you may have missed when Ten was introduced. It's worth reading all the non linear stories in MTMTE since Swerve's bar got mentioned here and none of the scene with his bar get placed in the overall story. Whereas last month's issue focused on the Decepticon Justice division, this issue was about the Autobots and it was funny, charming and witty. Roberts' Transformers run is dense, has excellent dialogue and clever writing. I think everyone should be reading it. People who've read this series have nothing but praise for it and I haven't seen anyone say they've stopped picking these issues up
