On Cybertron Daniel is bored and walks away from a Peace Summit officiated by the Autobots. Along with Grimlock, the youyth finds an ancient chamber once used by the Quintessons to banish criminals to faraway dimensions. Grimlock accidentally activates the chamber and the two find themselves transported to a world called Minonia, where two wizards have been engaging in a power struggle for millennia.
