FBI agent Justin Barnett is on the trail of a serial killer who is named 'Dracula' by the press because of his habit of draining his victims of blood. Just when Justin catches his prey everything falls apart as a worldwide pandemic peaks, killing most of mankind and leaving no prisons, no courts, and no means to convict and contain his prisoner. Before the FBI agent can work out what to do in this situation his prisoner escapes.
Justin goes in search of his family, having picked up a bi-polar gay sidekick who likes to pretend to be a Native American, but he cannot find them, which is not surprising as it seems that less then 5 percent of the population has survived. As he continues to search he discovers that his old enemy Dracula has also survived and is preying on the survivors trying to put the world back together.
Meanwhile, a strange scarred giant rises from the ruins of a blasted cathedral and does battle with a cult trying to raise ancient cthonic monsters from beyond.
