The Tick and Arthur call in Die Fladermaus for help in picking out new furniture. A beautiful woman named Ottoman sidetracks the endeavor, however, when she makes the furniture come to life. Ottoman heists all the furniture in the City, including the most comfortable chair in the world, in order to make her Ottoman Empire. This chair is used against the Tick and he finds himself powerless to escape its comfy clutches. But, when confronted with the option of evil running loose, the Tick is able to free himself.
Die Fladermaus is conflicted throughout the battles with Ottoman. He finds that he loves her, and she loves him back. But, when he learns of her desire to marry him, Die Fladermaus wavers. This buys enough time for the Tick, Arthur, and American Maid to spring into action. A big fight goes down on a floating rug and is stopped by a jumbo jet flying by. Ottoman escapes with Die Fladermaus in tow.
Die Fladermaus manages to escape but leads Ottoman to Arthur's apartment. Thinking quick, Arthur has the Tick take the most comfortable chair in the world to the roof. There, they spring a trap that gets Ottoman to sit in it and become so relaxed so as to forget her evil ways.
