At the end of season one of FX's The Strain, based off of the Dark Horse comic of the same name, hope was lost as the group as their confrontation with The Master didn't go exactly as planned. Someone on YouTube released the trailer for season two recently and it shows a New York City filled with the infection. Check it out.

Obviously, New York City is a terrible place to be right now. How much time has passed between seasons though? Season two of the Strain comes back to FX this summer.

As someone who has read the first two books in the Strain trilogy, I really hope this season is better. The pilot started out with a lot of promise and then it just didn't pan out. I don't have a problem with changes to the source material if they make sense but the show changed things that made it much worse. Especially having 2 showdowns with the Master that were essentially the same over the course of just a couple episodes. Del Toro has said he will have more direct involvement in season 2 so that gives me hope that this season will be a big improvement.

It Amazes me that this had no trouble getting renewed for a second season while Constantine is fighting for it's life and Agents of Shield struggled. Difference between Network and Cable I guess.

Can't wait the see The Born in season 2!

Still waiting for Blade to show up.

Season 1 was super disappointing and I was so excited.

Wasted potential.
