A search for the magical well-springs of Aka-Gaar, fabled to renew youth and beauty sends Conan into the vast Nomadic Desert. Paid handsomely by Queen Yanna, the aging matriarchal ruler of Khemi, deceit and jealousy among those closest to her results in an illfated plot against him.
