    Possibly The Room of Comics 3

    Art - ugh. The art is minimalistic, hyper stylized, and ultra detailed all in the same book. In other words... it inconsistent and for the most part it looks ugly. In Voodoo the coloring saves the line work, but here it just makes it look worse. It switches from digital to water color over and over again. The art isn't cleaned up for the book in several spots and then there is this weird thing where the Nth metal seems to eat his clothes rather than rip it away or something...and when the armor ...

    After floundering a bit from the start I find that this series is getting to a point where it could be on its way to being a readable series.  The main problem at the beginning was that too much was made of the scenarios and the introduction of new plot elements.  Yes they were interesting, but while issue #1 had enough visually impressive moments to get it through, issue #2 sort of felt absent because these moments were mostly absent and because the characters felt somewhat cold and antiseptic....

    Nice Job Breaking Things Hawkman 0

    The Good: Something about the cover works for me and I have no idea why. Maybe it's the ridiculous odd perspective on Morphicus' weapon. I can gaze at it for hours and still have absolutely no idea what the idea of that attack really is. Philip Tan's artwork has really gotten back towards his older style. I like that he's moving away from his overly watercolor style, it just never really clicked for me, and I LOVED his older style. So this going back to that is excellent. Tan's done a great job ...
