Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Jimmy Olsen is a photojournalist working at the Daily Planet, as well as a close friend of both Clark Kent and Lois Lane.
Lois Lane is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for the Daily Planet of Metropolis. She was the first reporter to interview Superman after he first appeared in Metropolis. Superman later revealed his secret identity to her; the two married and have a son, Jon Kent.
The City Editor of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Clark Kent (Superman) works. A gruff and hard taskmaster, but a very loveable character.
Lex Luthor, Superman's arch-nemesis, is one of the most brilliant men alive, whose hatred of "interfering aliens" pushes him down the path of a sociopath. Known for his "ends justifies the means" approach to life, his single-minded and often brutal focus puts him at odds with The Man of Steel. Luthor is arguably DC Comics' most iconic villain.
Brainiac is one of Superman's oldest and most powerful foes. A techno-organic being with a twelfth-level intellect and hyper-advanced technology, he travels the multiverse seeking civilizations to shrink and abduct, which he then adds to his collection of captured worlds. He has been responsible for the extinction of countless cultures and the deaths of untold billions.
Winslow Schott is a misunderstood villain that uses toys as weapons as the Toyman. He believes that it is the adults that are ruining the world for the children.
The Prankster was one of Superman's first reoccuring foes in the Golden Age. In the New 52, he's Nightwing's new nemesis, a brilliant cyber-criminal.
Inspector Henderson was a character from the 1940s radio series "The Adventures of Superman" and the 1950s "Adventures of Superman" TV Show before making his way into Superman and Black Lightning comics in the 70's. At one point he became Metropolis' Police commissioner.
Because of his size, Titano is incredibly powerful and poses a threat to anyone in the vicinity, even though he means no harm. With his Kryptonite vision, he can harm or possibly kill Superman.
Mr. Mxyzptlk is a fifth-dimensional imp with the power to do anything that he can imagine. He could transform Superman into ashes or erase him from existence, but where's the fun in that?
