Plot
The plot revolves around Rick O'Connell helping a brother and sister named Jonathan and Evelyn Carnahan, find the tomb of Hamunaptra. Evie, as she's called in the film, awakens Imhotep, a former priest who uses the dark arts to terrorize those involved with the Book of the Dead in an attempt to retrieve it. They deduce since the Book of the Dead brought him back to life, maybe the book of Amun-Ra (Book of light) can kill him again. Imhotep kidnaps Evie and Rick goes to find her back at Hamunaptra. After Evie is rescued she reads from the book of Amun-Ra and Imhotep becomes mortal and Rick mortally wounds him with a knife to the gut, while also pushing him into the River of Death. The trio ride off into the sunset on camels with pouches of treasure.
