When chaos erupted on the colonial satellites, Sarah and her children were thrown to earth in separate directions. Now she wanders the planet in search of her son and daughter, through towns corrupt with greed and cities run by teen-agers. On this leg of her journey, she comes across a platoon of armored tanks -- and a brigade of religious young women who will stop at nothing to stop those tanks. In this city of angels, a band of girls stands their ground against the firepower of the Epoch, even when it means they may be killed themselves.
