In Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Books, Akela is the leader of the Seeonee pack of Indian wolves and presides over the pack's council meetings. It is during such a meeting that the pack adopts Mowgli and Akela becomes one of Mowgi's mentors.

Flunkey is the name/title given to the only one among King Louie's monkeys to share the spotlight with him. The white-haired monkey attempts to join his master's sing and dance number, much to the latter's annoyance. Flunkey ends up giving his own dance while the boss tries to stop him.
Son of Colonel Hathi
Kaa is a rock python who hypnotizes his prey into cooperating with becoming dinner. In The Jungle Book, he attempted to eat Mowgli twice, but the first time was interrupted by Bagheera, while the second time, he was caught up in conversation with Shere Khan. Both times, Mowgli managed to push Kaa out of a tree, irritating the snake.
King of the Apes. He was created by Walt Disney and doesn't appear in the original Jungle Books. He does however appear in Fables on the Farm.
