    Not Liking the New Direction

I'm a big fan of this series and I love this series a lot but I'm not a fan of the sudden shift in the direction of the series. After the darkest of the dark, we had the Most Wanted and Stark: Dissasembled arcs and suddenly out of the blue we have this complete shift with happy go lucky Stark: Resilient. I understand that in the Age of Heroes, there is a happier shift in the Marvel Universe so this sudden shift is to be expected, but (and I can say this about most comics in the Marvel Universe right now) the sudden change in tone is way to fast. I don't feel like it fits with the rest of the series and if you read the series as a whole it seems like Fraction has ended his previous story and started a complete new one. I wish the series felt as a more cohesive whole.

I know this review is much more quick and to the point than my normal reviews but my thoughts are very spesific. I've been so behind in comics and I'm only reading them through trades now. It's the only way I can keep up. Reading the comics this way, the change in tone seems too sudden and I think there should at least be some sort of transition issue between the previous issue and this one. There was no transition issue.

In conclusion, the art is good, the story is good, but the tone is too happy and the story feels like Fraction has completely disregarded everything he has written previously.

Tony Stark has rebooted his brain from a backup (this sounds weird but is explained relatively well in the story.)  This means also a reboot of his armour, his company and his relationships.  Meanwhile forces are at play expecting him to do basically what he has been doing and to capitalize on his arrogance by stealing the interest in his designs.  The issue itself is pretty well conceived and I think is pulled off pretty well.  The deeper message is an compelling one that offering the world a r...

Tony Stark deals with the aftermath of rebooting his brain while trying to make his company relevant once more.    What You Need To Know. Tony Stark deleted his brain in order to stop Norman Osborn from gaining access to key files that were stored there.  He had a back-up hard drive and rebooted his brain.  The catch is, the last time he updated the hard drive was before Civil War, Secret Invasion and all the good stuff.    The GoodMatt Fraction continues to write an amazing story.  He brought I...
