Green is good
This issue is the peak of Pelletier's run on Hulk (#s 606-610 and Alpha), and you got to hand it to him that he´s done a great job: every character is flawless, if you look Banner's face in every single issue is the same (of course there is variations of mood and emotions, what I´m trying to say that it had a pattern), his Red Hulk is gigantic, yet not only a ball of muscles (like Portacio's, Churchill's or McGuinness'), Pelletier can draw cosmic fights, ships, battle scenes, cool scenarios, cities, you name it, and in this issue it all came like the cherry on top of the sunday; perfect art!! And the sequences are all tuned, there isn´t a single scene lost in time, it´s very coherent and clean art.
If you are not convinced to like this storie arc by the art argument, Greg Pak is really the man responsible for such a good phase in Hulk. You can tell that he doesn´t leave loose ends in the narrative, he creates good dialogues and did know how to play very well with all those characters (Saakar, Black Panther, Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Hank McCoy, Leader, Red She-Hulk, Leonard Samson, Amadeus Cho etc) without confusion and the final outcome is an interesting plot, with a Bruce Banner that I´ve never seen before (taking actions, using a lot of gadgets, in oposition of always being on the run).
And just to make this issue perfect we got to imagine what´s to come in # 611.
Well, there are those who say that the story was a little weak, that the way Bruce Banner did found to reverse the hulked out heroes was too predictable, but it was fun and entertaining.
A solid bulk 5 out 5 Hulked out Heroes
