    Brothers Hank and Don Hall argue about anything and everything. Hank always takes an aggressive stance, while Don seeks to pacify all parties. The same is true in their heroic identities of Hawk and Dove. Hank (Hawk) can't wait to get into a fight, Don meanwhile looks for negotiation wherever possible.

    This series was spun off of their debut in Showcase #75. New Showcase editor Dick Giordano brought in writer Steve Skeates and artist Steve Ditko for the series, with Gil Kane replacing Steve Ditko for issue 3 onward. Upon the series cancellation, Hawk and Dove would guest star in the 1966 Teen Titans series.
