    Plot

    At Mount Crumpit, the Grinch lives with his dog Max and dislikes Christmas with a passion. He despised Christmas because he never had Christmas during his childhood. He comes up with an idea to steal Christmas. He found a deer named Fred and wanted him to be his reindeer. The three of them have been going to every house in Whoville until the Grinch arrived at Cindy Lou Who's house. Cindy wanted the Grinch to help her mother Donna. Because of this, the Grinch's heart grew three sizes. The Grinch begged for forgiveness to the kind Whos.

    Reception

    The 2018 computer-animated film got mixed reviews. Many critics said that the animation and voice work by Benedict Cumberbatch were amazing but they agreed that the film didn't add something new compared to the Chuck Jones and Ron Howard adaptations. Critics didn't like how the Grinch was more kind than mean and that he wasn't that scary, especially compared to Boris Karloff and Jim Carrey's interpretations.
