“I AM!” The chipmunks that were mutated by Ub'x in the 20th century have evolved into sentient creatures by the 58th century and now want a world to call their own. The only thing standing in their way now is the Green Lantern Corps.
The story of Salaak in the 58th century continues. When the Lantern remembers his identity he takes his anger out on the Solar Council who abducted him and abused the innocent Iona Vane.
Salaak has just gotten his memories back through the power of Ch'p's Green Lantern ring and Dr. Ub'x's Staff, and the first thing he does is confront Iona Vane. Sadly she too had her memories replaced and truly believes that Salaak is her love Pol Manning. In stead of hurting the poor girls feeling and forcing her to see the truth, Salaak continues the lie and pretends to be Pol Manning a little longer.
One Hour later, Salaak tells the High Council of Solar Delegetes, that he knows the truth and he plans on acting like a Green Lantern and use his ring to end the war with the Breakers, with out further bloodshed.
Three hours later, Salaak presides over meeting between the High Council and the Breakers. He proposes the two warring groups split the Earth, which the Council rejects. Ch'p suggests they Breakers take another planet, this plan is out right rejected by teh Breakers. Dasor demands to wipe out the Breakers and will use all the power under his command to see it though, Salaak hints that he has backup as well.
Back on 1987, Hal Jordan and Arisia are out flying when Salaak contacts them for help.
A half hour and 3724 years later, Hal and Arisia time travel to the year 5711. There Hal is surpised by the fact that Iona doesn't reconcize him, but offers to help.
The next morning, Hal is caught up on all the events that have lead the groups to this point and makes the offer to give the Breakers a whole planet, which after much debate the two groups almost agree to, when Dr. Ub'x speaks up. He tells the Breakers that they are part of his Evolution Project and have claim to Earth and that the should conitune to fight.
They soon come to a agreement Ch'p and Dr. Ub'x will fight for the Breakers and if they win the Breakers get Earth and Hal and Salaak will fight for the humans and if they win the Breakers will be destroyed.
Hal and Salaak win but instead of destroying the Breakers they get another planet to live on. Salaak feels betrayed by Ch'p and doen't feel like he wants to be a Green Lantern anymore. Salaak decides to stay with Iona in the 58th century with the council, the Breakers and Dr. Ub'x. Hal, Arisia and Ch'p go back the prensent but once their Ch'p decides to leave Earth and go back to his home world of H'Lven.
