Problems Multiplied
The Good: With The Fury of Firestorm: the Nuclear Men's ending right around the corner, it seems the writers want it to go out with a bang. Love the new surprise enemies like Killer Frost (who's origin we briefly saw in issue 2) and one of the Hyena Squad members supposedly turned into a real Hyena, they go all out against Firestorm while he's forced to deal with protecting his mother. The art feels amazing and fits the action and characters perfectly.
The Bad: Some scenes almost felt unnecessary, like the lengthy talk between Jason's girlfriend and his Dad as they looked for Firestorm. Only other complaint would be the randomness of some of the villains. While Killer Frost, Hyena and Multiplex have been shown to battle Firestorm in this series, Black Bison, Plastique and Typhoon haven't been introduced yet in the New 52. Even though they are classic Firestorm villains, it might confuse the reader if they are kind of beginners with Firestorm comics.
The Verdict: Altogether, this was a great series and I'll be sad to see it go. Fantastic art, great plots and interesting character's make this a great comic, and this issue (albeit with some small complaints) is no different.
