Congrats, CV. That was damn fast.
I think we can all agree that shot of the X-Wings flying over the lake was an optical orgasm. So badass.
The Millennium Falcon shot looked way too much like Abrams' signature style. Fine for the Star Trek reboot. Not fine for Star Wars Episode VII.
I'm digging the Stormtrooper's redesign, as I was when they revealed it, but I'm not sure how I feel about their new blaster rifles. Looks a little too modern military to me.
That Sith dude seems awesome. His lightsaber is dumb though (but I totally love it >_>).
Speaking of which, http://www.comicvine.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/hilted-lightsabers-1622892/
In any case, it certainly looks like they are completely 100% scrapping all the Post-RotJ EU concepts, and building totally from scratch. We all kind of knew that was the case from the start, but certainly not to this extent, and it still feels weird to actually witness it on screen. I'm also worried that this trailer did nothing to quell the rumor about that hot garbage of a script that revolves around the plot of some kids finding Luke's severed hand in space or whatever (if you haven't heard that rumor yet, trust me, I didn't make that up).
