Barry is possibly the most important hero in DC, having started the Silver Age, ended the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and rebooted the universe through Flashpoint.

In the TV show, Flashes can fire lightning.

(Classic) Jay is the only Flash to not get his powers from the speedforce.

Flashes have been shown to literally outrun the personification of death.
