Looks like The Flash is getting a whole new suit in preparation for season two of the hit CW series, which is set to air on October 6. Take a look at the brand new Flash suit.

The most noticeable difference is the logo on the chest. Instead of a red background, Barry is now wearing a logo with a white background, which matches his comic book counterpart a bit more.

There's a lot of big things coming to The Flash this season. Adam "Edge" Copeland is playing Atom Smasher and Teddy Sears is set to play Jay Garrick. Make sure to see the costume for yourself, in action, when The Flash comes back to the CW on October 6 at 8PM.

Now will the comics please change the lego background back to white. Its funny how the comics ended up changing the logo background to red right at the time the show changed theirs to white.

It's an awesome photo to be sure. But it's an odd choice for lighting if the purpose of the pic is actually to show off the costume. Looks great from what I can tell though.

Finally Barry gets the white logo background. That's a definite improvement over the red one IMO. Hopefully the comics change Barry's costume back to resemble it, the current suit Flash is wearing is simply awful and badly designed.

@lvenger: The problem with the comic one? Is that it's trying to be the CW costume in all the wrong ways. The CW costume ISN'T spandex or tights, it's essentially a motorcycle suit. Not saying that's bad, but it's a costume than CAN be translated to a comic format.... Except DC just took the darker shading and symbol, threw in Wally styled white eyes, with even more unnecessary lines all over it, and called it a day.

At least Barry's original New 52 costume LOOKED like it was Barry! The new one looks like Wally got a bad costume.

To me the Flash's costume always looks the same. The changes are always small and superficial and don't change the look at all for me.

Agreed. I know the New 52 costume changes are basically line-wide, but Flash's is particularly bad. It is like when Wally had a dark red suit with white eyes, but then ruined with loads of yellows and oranges and different shades of red, and loads of lines.

I think they could have made a bit more effort with the Flash costume in season one, and this 'change' is (although an improvement), laughably minor. How many series until we get the Barry from the newspaper from the future? Even then the costume lacks enough yellow. I know The comic costume can't be completely translated to live action, but they can certainly add a bit more yellow and lighten the red.

@mattydavehalpeo: Well I personally LIKED the season 1 costume since, alternate universe(In more ways than one) so I didn't mind it. Only complaint was that it wasn't a brighter red, but aside from that...

@smart_dork_dude: Don't get me wrong the TV costume is better than the New New 52 costume. I know the show doesn't have the budget of a Hollywood movie, and still manages to excite me more than many superhero movies, so the costume isn't too much of a biggie. It is a bit silly though how all they could be bothered changing is the logo background.

@smart_dork_dude: That's a nice way of expressing the problems with that travesty of Flash's new suit. I concur with what you're saying, the current Flash costume is shaded much too darkly, ruined the simple but iconic lightning bolt symbol and gave it more lines than Barry's original New 52 costume, and that had plenty of lines on it. It looks almost as bad as New 52 Wally West's abomination of a suit, though thankfully little works worse than what 'Wally' will look like when he's Kid Flash. God I hope New 52 Wally gets retconned along with Bart Allen's atrocious backstory.
