Since season one of CW's The Flash kicked off, there's always been two speedsters: Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne. That list is getting longer everyday. According to TVLine, Violett Beane has been cast as Jesse Quick, joining Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick, and Keiynan Lonsdale and Wally West, on the upcoming new season of the hit CW show, which seems to be building an army of speedsters.

Jesse is described as a quirky college student caught up between The Flash and the big bad guy of season two: Zoom. Quick will appear in multiple episodes of the upcoming season, which returns to CW on Tuesday, October 6 at 8/7C.

Hopefully we get XS also, & they decide to have XS & Jessie hook up. Or Hour-Man. Wasnt he supposed to be getting a show before they revealed Flash was getting one? I just hope they keep the speed-formula & NOT have her just get empowered due to the speed-force stuff in the S1-finale.

Damn! Tons of Speedsters are coming to the Flash this season. They won't have any to bring on in later seasons at this rate. Also - this is really cool, I liked her in JSA and Justice League of America.

@cobramorph: You never know... I mean we do have a Mercury Labs in the show... I know it's not the same but they could very well link a Max Mercury with Mercury Labs.

Now that's a really good reason to watch Flash again.

There should have been more speedsters in season one.

Impulse is coming to Flash season 2.

Dash is coming to Flash season 2.

Quicksilver is coming to Flash season 2.

Usain Bolt is coming to Flash season 2.

Keep adding more characters because Arrow totally doesn't suffer from a bloated cast.

This. I hope we get Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle at least name dropped. By this rate, by season 3 we could have Bart and Max Mercury, so it'd be like those speed force comics where all the good speedsters take on Colbalt Blue or someone. They won't though, I expect this'll be the last new speedster we'll see in person in the show unless it runs into like seven seasons. I reckon season 3 will be more about Vibe and Killer Frost if they only appear at the end of season 2. Really want Cobalt Blue as season 3 villain because I can't see Grodd being a credible big bad considering he wasn't much more than a lackie in season 1.

Shit Finally Jesse Chambers is a character Dc abandoned but hopefully this will give more importance

There's quite a few speedsters missing from New 52. We only really have Barry, Bart and Jay, with Wally making the odd appearance (although I'm certain that Wally's going to appear a lot more now). We're missing Jesse, her father, Max Mercury, the Tornado Twins, XS and Wally's kid as far as I can recall. Not to mention all the future Flashes. Walter West's not been seen in New 52, mind you, I don't think he ever will. Can't see Pollux coming to comics. We probably won't get Savitar or Hunter Zolomon for a while.

I think this will be interesting. I would like to see more of her character.

Plz don't add too many people. Leave them for later seasons. Too many in one season isn't good idea

Max mercury would be a great mentor for barry. Jesse is a good addition since she has history and is female

Cool. I have no idea who the Tokamak guy is, not being as much into DC, but Jesse is a cool character to add. I appreciate that they're going full force into building the universe.

Looks like it's the speedster second season. But it would be better to introduce other speedies in future seasons. It might get a bit crowded here.

And of course Jesse is the child of two Golden Age characters. It makes sense to divide the speedsters between those related to Golden Age characters and those related to Silver Age characters.

Can't see it happening, but if it was done right, I'd like that too.

I am really excited for Flash Season 2, for Jay Garrick showing up and now for Jesse Quick. I've been reading comics since the 6th grade and ever since I started I keep digging and digging into the history of the characters, both from the fictional side of things and the people who created them.

That's how I became friends with Len Strazewski when I first enrolled at Columbia College Chicago. Now when I mention Len, I can hopefully assume many of the fine members of this site will remember him from the 90's and the good work he did at many companies including DC Comics. Fun fact, Len helped co-create the character of Jesse Quick (she first appeared in the JSA series from 1991-1993 that helped lead the team into its somewhat destruction during "Zero Hour"). The reason I name-drop Len is because he is a professor at Columbia College and a good friend and all around awesome guy to talk comics with.

Earlier today I was downtown hanging out with Len, catching up and I asked him what he thought about the casting of Violett as Jesse. His response was and I quote "I think she'll do good. She's not blonde but hey neither is Grant Gustin and he does a great job as Barry."

If Len likes her, that's good enough for me. Bring on Season 2!!!!

this is beyond terrible...way too many flashes, the show started off so strong too, rarely does a show jump the shark so soon, but multiverse doesnt play well on tv, never has never, will, GfinG cw, your failure will be spectacular
