    "Leave Him To Mob Rule"

    Synopsis

The Flash learns to apply the Speed Force to his ability to process information (to great effects) as the Mob Rule mystery ever expands!

    The Good

Most of this issue deals with the discovery of how Barry can also use the Speed Force to temporarily process meta-enhanced levels of information, in particular we are treated to a fantastic scene where he manipulates a series of insignificant events on the streets to avoid a nasty accident happening. It's not just a case of this is what he can do with his powers, it is also explained clearly through conversations with scientist Dr. Elias (from last issue) and Barry's love Patty Spivot

The mystery of the connection between Manuel Lago and Mob Rule is continuing to unravel. I like how despite having the power of self-cloning, the original is neither evil or willingly part of the multiplying process. Read the issue to see what I mean!

The art is as fantastic as last issue, and in particular how Francis Manapul dots lots of boxes around the page to show how the Flash's mind works at superspeed is a great way to visualise his powers.

Last but not least, we get a hint of a future storyline through something reporter Iris West says in one panel. I certainly can't wait to find out who she is referring to!

    The Bad

I think since as I've mentioned, most of the issue is dedicated to explaining how Barry's powers work, older readers might find it retreading old material. This issue in particular is more suited to new readers (like me!) I feel.

    Conclusion

Another solid issue from the Flash team! Recommended if you picked up issue #1!

One of the most interesting books out there. 0

I love this issue, it's probably one of my favourite comic books that i've ever read, but that wasn't true until I picked it up for a second time through. What happens in this issue that I find really incredible is that there's a part that's very confusing to understand at first, and takes some time to just figure out what is happening. There IS a reason for all of that confusion. I think it's meant to show how Flash's new power is working. It takes a while to understand the puzzle were given in...

      Brain Flash 0

The Good: Manapul and Buccellato REALLY know how to do flow and panel layouts in individual scenes. The layouts in The Flash are some of the best, and everything is incredibly fitting to give the sense of 'speed.' But its when Flash activates his new power that things are really kicked into high gear. We actually being to understand how The Flash's brain works in super speed. It's as subtle and fantastic as Waid's Daredevil, but in its own way. The use of color wash in flashbacks is extremely ef...
