An unwelcome visitor from Cain's past arrives at the House of Mystery. The visitor intends to probe into the most ancient, and personal, mystery of all, one involving Abel and a few well-hidden secrets.
This issue also features 3 "lost" pages that were originally conceived for The Sandman #72 but were ultimately not included due to time and space constraints. These pages were eventually produced for the TPB collection, The Sandman: The Wake but the pages were also printed in this issue of The Dreaming out of fairness, so readers who bought the original issues wouldn't have to pay the price of a TPB just to get 3 new pages.
Morpheus only appears in these 3 pages.
Cover incorrectly says "November 1996" while the indicia says "January 1997".
