I saw it on the BBC and I wasn't sure until they showed some of his previous work on the BBC... I like him.

I couldn't find where I posted about Patterson Joseph but then realized I put it in the forums and not news.  It could've been really interesting to see him play the Doctor.  I'm sure this Matt Smith dude will be good but I like the idea of a tougher Doctor like Eccleston.  The again, I wasn't 100% thrilled with Tennant when I first saw him."

Kinda weird that this was posted here hours ago and Variety just reported it about 40 minutes ago.  So Matt Smith is only 26?  Guess they do keep getting younger.

What I thought was a little strange was at Comic-Con, Steve Moffat kept talking about how the show was sorta geared towards the eight year-old boys.  I'm far from being eight so I don't know what that says about my mental state since I enjoy the show.  Oh well.

O.K., O.K., don't deride me too much on this one, but I'm only a very casual Doctor Who person.  I've only watched a handful of episodes.  I don't know all the characters, their names, etc, nor am I going to search them at the moment, because I will just ask these questions: 

Couldn't they have used the blond actress as a new Doctor Who?  Or the equally hot black actress?  Don't hate me because I'm beautiful....errr, I mean because I don't know the characters, but it's just a thought. 

I know someone will point out the characters, their names, etc., but if you do, don't give me grief.   Else I will Keell You, Fanboy!

Eh off the subject here but, Tennant did express intrest in being the Riddler in the third Batman movie....so maybe we will see him as that character soon...

You were probably unlucky and happened to find a rare bad episode...so far, most (if not all) Doctor Who episodes I've seen were great and entertaining. ut then again I haven't watched it a lot so maybe I shouldn't say anything ;D"
