last year we had the dubious pleasure of Catherine Tate as The Doctor's assistant for one episode...

this year we have the... well, i don't think pleasure is a strong enough word to describe an hour of Kylie running around in an French Maids outfit and leather boots...

after the Christmas (read Kylie) episide, Catherine Tate's character, the ever annoying Donna, will be returning for several episodes until Martha Returns...

Producer Russell T. Davies said, "We are delighted that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the fourth series". Tate added, "I am delighted to be returning to Doctor Who. I had a blast last Christmas and look forward to traveling again through time and space with that nice man from Gallifrey." She has now started filming for the new series.

besides, The Doctor can always have more than one companion... he's had 2 or 3 at once before
