Jackie Boy's Confession into The Darkness

The Darkness is a neat character because I think of him as Cal McDonald meets Spawn.  The Darkness also is up my alley with Cal McDonald being a Constantine Clone and two of Constantine's longest writers in Garth Ennis and Peter Jenkins both have penned goo chunks of Jackie boy's life story.

The Confession works as a primer for the second installment of 2K games The Darkness franchise. The story is self-contained and in someways an original story for those who are not familiar with The Darkness.  The story is well paced and beautifully illustrated for the dark tones of this universe.

The Comic aspect alone made this free comic entertaining and on top of the meat of the comic there was seek previews to the up-coming game.  As a marketing ploy I will let this one slip, it works because not all gamers read comics and if this comic can get more gamers to read, then it is a win for the industry.

    Cheers
