Although it doesn't come out until 2013, the trailer for part 2 of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is here. MTV Geek released the trailer this morning, and it looks like an action-packed, epic event. Check out the video below.

In part one, we got to see a retired Bruce Wayne return to the cape and cowl after he became disgusted with the crime wave hitting Gotham, and mainly the Mutants who publicly declared war against anyone who stood in their way.

In the trailer for part two, we can see that not only has the Joker returned to Gotham, after a stint in a mental institution where he remained in a catatonic state because there was no Batman to fight anymore, but we finally get to see one of the most famous battles in all of comic books: Batman versus Superman.

Lots of fans are extremely excited to see Frank Miller's book finally hit the screens, and this straight-to-DVD epic will be releasing in 2013.

What do you guys think of this trailer? Do you think it's been a good adaptation of the Dark Knight Returns?

The voice actor for Superman sounds a lot like George Newbern. Looks pretty good.

Goosebumps...part 1 was probably the best animated movie I've ever seen and we all know part 2 gets even better. Can Not Wait.

why are you even... You know what im not even going to bother. you havent read TDKR and your only knowledge regarding the dc universe is probably from cartoons, movies and wiki. perhaps the new 52 but that doesnt count. except swamp thing and animal man.

Looks great,but why the long wait for an hour and thirty minutes of animation, seems a bit absurd.

I thought Batman Part One was awesome. Definitely will get Part Two on day one. Please forgive me and I have not read the comic book just yet, but why Batman had to fight with Superman? They're both best friends for many years! Plus we all know that it's no way Batman could even win against Superman unless I'm missing some important information.

Early Winter 2013. Possibly January/February release.

I'll wait until they come out with a definitive two-disc set with both parts 1 and 2 together sold at once. I do like this though...

Winter 2013 is in 3 months, so no worries. That that I want to wait that long but at least it's not fall 2013.

I completely agree with you, by the way. I'm still not completely sold on Peter Weller as Old Batman.

This looks awesome. I thought part 1 was really good, so I'll definitely be picking this up.

Does Superman not age? Do we have a Captain America "Man Out Of Time" Scenario here where Kal-El is alone and being just the Government's lacky? Also has Batman changed a lot in this arc because I saw Part 1 (so awesome) and he used guns. Has he succumbed to the darkness?
