    Family Matters

Highland Laddie is a great issue that gives readers a new perspective on the beloved Wee Hughie. Hughie has returned home to Scotland to get his bearings straight in the wake of what were trying times for him in the last few issues of The Boys. Unfortunately, Hughie deals with the very real problem of how homesickness makes us forget the flaws of the people around us. Meanwhile, as the summary states, some strangers in town look like they will pose a threat sooner than later. The biggest appeal of this issue is that while The Boys' interesting pacing and complexities make it a little daunting a read (especially for those who have not been following it from the beginning), Highland Laddie is a fresh new story that splits off into a new and exciting direction for Hughie.
