Part 2 of the 5-part 'Playgrounds.' To save their friends, Tim, Tanger and Happy the Golem must prepare for a trek into Hell.
Crimple and Molly, in the thicket of the magical abandoned lot, are separated from Tim and Tanger. They find some Lacey Dolls, which Molly thinks were Tim's, and follow them to a giant dollhouse, which she enters. However, it's a trap set by the pink T. rexes.
Tanger tells Tim that he and Crimple will die now that they've left their tree, but he puts on a brave face and they look for the others.
Barbatos, having gotten Araquel to break his chains and thus reject his accepted punishment from heaven, blackmails Araquel into doing some work for him.
Molly finds out that she's been trapped, and is teased by the dumb T. rexes. Another pink T. rex catches Crimple.
Tim tries to use a spell to find Molly, but it just shows him that she's no longer in their dimension.
Sir Timothy, once again believing he's in a mansion rather than a cardboard box, talks to the captive Khara and Nikki. Kharas drops the opener stone she took from Young Tim, and Sir Timothy takes it. It returns him to his right state of mind and power; he releases the ladies as a thank-you, and leaves.
Tim and Tanger find out that the other two are in hell, where they are forced to have a tea party with the T. rexes, who are trying to get Molly to become more like a Lacey (i.e., Barbie) doll. Molly rebels against the stupid dinosaurs, but then the Governess, Vuall, comes in, who is much more serious.
Barbatos wants Araquel to keep all of Tim's friends busy while he's looking for Molly, so none of them can save him. Araquel agrees, unhappily.
Tim and Tanger go back to Tim's house to pack for their rescue expedition, including the inclusion of a new companion--Happy the Golem.
