    The Perfect Woman

    Doc
    Doc
I love the first story in this Blue Beetle Comic.  It is about a real Doctor around town who tries his own experiment.  This experiment is to create the perfect woman.  How will he do this?  You may ask.  Well, he kidnaps several young woman and plans to cut off or out the best pieces and put them together in a Frankenstein/perfect woman.  As that wasn't crazy enough he just lines the woman up and says things like "I'll keep her torso and her head" and so on.  At least one of them is whipped while Beetle and the other woman are forced to watch.  Lastly, the good 'ol Doc plans on using a butcher knife and no anesthetic.  now remember this is 1940!

The second story was so off I had to laugh. The Blue Beetle finds out that several teenagers are killing themselves because they are smoking Marijuana.  In other words the story is implying that Marijuana makes you so mad that you kill yourself.  The irony is Blue Beetle has superpowers that gives him super-strength, dexterity and the ability to stay awake and vibrant while on the a drug called vitamin 2-X.   It's funny because it is true.

    Mastermind of Crime
    Mastermind of Crime
Lastly, the Blue Beetle goes up against the Mastermind of Crime.  For the most part this was a much more traditional gangster story.  It did have a lot of cool elements however.  Like, Beetle being a hero as a police office and more details about his powers.

I would recommend this book.  I gave it four stars and hope you read it.  I can tell you how for free, just PM me and I'll tell you where.
