Hysteria grips the populace as seven devils and Bishop Binsfeld, one of the Church's designated witch hunters, descend on the city of Trier and its surrounding villas. Into this horror come two women, Bechte and Elsabeth, witches who are trying to survive and to protect those they love from harm.
