In preparation for all-out war, Takashiro urges Yuki, Luka, and the Zweilt to take a break at the Hidden Springs of the Giou. But soon after they arrive, the proprietress of the inn begs them to investigate some mysterious events at a nearby shrine. But nothing will prepare Yuki for Sairi's revelations about the brave but terrible ends met by the Light of God through the ages.
