    Originally, The Authority is a Wildstorm universe super team founded by Jenny Sparks. The team was primarily comprised of former Stormwatch members and the Changers sucessors. In the DCU, the Authority is a team recruited by Superman to take on Warworld and the tyrant Mongul.

    I've never read anything from Wildstorm before but I'm looking to get into The Authoriy comics. Can anyone tell me where a good place to start reading would be or a storline that would catch a new reader. Thanks

    The Nativity story arc starts with Vol. 1 #13. The TPB is Under New Managaement. ISBN 1-56389-756-3 (I'm giving the TPB names and ISBNs because it can be difficult to find the individual issues, in my experience)
