Doc Ock Goes to Hell: The Final Saga 3

Well this is it, the beginning of the end. But it's not necessarily good.It is impossible to talk about this issue without talking about the big twist. Because honestly that's all this issue has going for it.This issue was hyped up beyond belief. Dan Slott was telling retailers they would have to order extra copies, because this issue will change everything. It would be the most remembered storyline in the history of comics. It'll be remembered because it was over hyped and done a million times b...

    ASM #698 Review 0

This issue delivers a huge twist of events. Although it doesn't actually reveal what will happen in the seven hundredth ending number, we can get a solid idea of the upcoming events.Consider this issue as a prologue to the next two, due to the multiple non-important events Spidey goes through. Although this was an enjoyable read, Peter sees Aunt May taking her first steps, he visits MJ's nightclub, we see him creating his web fluid, and even beating up an "every-day" criminal. It seemed to me Da...

I Wasn't Surprised, but Still Wasn't Prepared for This 0

Originally posted on my blog, The Comics Cove, not too long ago...Okay, I needed a couple days to write this review. The big development was a lot to absorb, and I wanted to be sure I came at this piece with a clear head.I know most fans have read the issue by now, and while I'd love very much to talk plainly about the plot of this issue, I don't plan on spoiling anything until at least next Wednesday. So, with that in mind, I'll launch into what I hope is a mostly spoiler-free review. The cover ...

What Does Doc Ock Know? 0

Dan Slott run on this series has been amazing (pardon the pun) and although it has had a few bumps along the way it has been one of the best runs on a Spider-Man series for a good few years. As this series creeps closer to the 700th issue it keeps getting more exciting and interesting to find out what the big surprise will be.PlotThis issue starts with an alert at The Raft sounding armed guards to Doctor Octopus's room where he's mumbling the words Peter Parker. Meanwhile Peter is getting on wit...

I Am Peter Parker, Hear Me Roar 0

This issue got ranted and raved about like crazy, and I left this until lower in my pull list because all that buzz got me excited. But when I started reading the issue, I kept waiting for that moment, that big twist that had everyone up in arms or in awe.Don't get me wrong, the rest of the issue is perfectly fine. It's actually really well executed jumping on point, summarizing every recent major plot point and piece of the current status quo as we go through a current day in Spider-Man's life....

Believe it or not, things are finally changing. 0

Dan Slott's run on Spider-Man as of late has been no less than thrilling, fantastic, and game-changing for everyone's favourite wall-crawler. But it's not until this issue where things finally do change and wow, do things ever take a turn for the worse.Starting off on a positive note, Dan Slott begins his prelude to the biggest even in Spider-Man history with quite some flair. Peter's life has never been a consistant one. He's always been stuck with money problems, girl problems, landing an apar...
