Spider-Man And Human Torch Space Adventure.
Synopsis: It's Spider-Man....IN SPAAAACE!!!!! Space....Space....Space....Oh, and Johnny Storm is with him.
Speaking of Johnny, it's great that both Dan Slott and Chris Yost take the time to get Johnny adjusted back home. How? By catching up with all the events of last year. I don't think Jonathan Hickman had the time to address that in Fantastic Four, but like Peter, he tends to joke around. That's why a team up with these two is perfect right now. You know, I would give this issue one star just because Johnny Storm started singing Friday by Rebecca Black (I'm joking), but that is the kind of stuff that works in Spider-Man. What I also liked about this issue is the number of culture references. Another interesting choice is having who's behind the sabotage of the space station (Which is a bit ironic considering that last time Spidey and Torch teamed up, it was against the same villain).
Yes, this issue features John Jameson who gets caught up in the villain's scheme that has Spider-Man and Johnny to go up in space to rescue him and the crew.
The only part that doesn't work for me mostly is Giuseppe's artwork. It's only the way he draws faces, especially when the characters are surprised or shocked. Other than that, it's not bad.
Overall:
This issues feels like old times between Spidey and Johnny, and that's great. The real question is will they survive in the next issue.
