Bugs, bugs, and more bugs...
What's good?
The beginning of this issue just hit a warm spot in my heart. Not only is Peter feeling good about life, but he's enjoying it with most of his friends and family: his girlfriend Charlie, Aunt May, Jay Jameson Sr., Flash and Betty (back together if you haven't heard) and Mary Jane. Of course, while I am giving Peter and Charlie a chance, I did notice a sense of jealousy from MJ. But I can't forget about Spider Slayer, Scorpion, and the huge army of cybernetic insects. They all want Jameson to suffer
New artist for this storyline, and while the artwork is a huge departure from Humberto Ramos' exaggerated style, Stefano Caselli gives this issue a more realistic look. Everyone look human with the right body structure even with the villains. I also like the facial expressions in this issue as well with Spider-man's mask.
The backup feature Lock And/Or Key features the new Power Man. He's definitely no Luke Cage, as he comes off as being an idiot with a weird way of trying to help others (I mean you'd think you should act a bit more serious when a possible bomb is in place), but hey, this is Spider-man and this comic excels at the strange and the wacky....especially when The Looter appears to be the villain. The artwork for the backup feature looks wonderful as well.
What's bad?
Not really a whole lot. The pacing takes a while to start up, with Peter having his happy time, and the space shuttle.
Overall: Dan Slott continues to shine with Big Time.
