Big Time continues to look great

    Spidey debuts his new suit!

    Pros:
I still like how current Spider-man is feeling. Continuing where it last left off, Peter gets saved by something far worse than the Hobgoblin. Lady Gaga anyone? Which reminds me, Dan Slott still provides Spider-man with the jokes. Whether if its Peter thinking of a way for people not to know his identity or making fun of Mary Jane's comprehension of science, the jokes work. Also continuing to be current are events such as the Shadowland aftermath. Phil Unirch continues to step up his role as the new Hobgoblin and the weirdest thing is that he's doing this all for a woman who's is already taken.

Black Cat also lighten the mood as well. Ever since she came back, She just been flirty and sexy than ever. I still have that hope that things doesn't work out with Charlie Cooper so Pete can back to Cat (Hey! I can dream can't I?).

No, I didn't forget about Peter's new costume. So far, it's like a stealth suit that also protects Spidey from sonic attacks. It also has the ability to make Peter's letters appear green! I hope there's some more in store for the new suit.

I had some doubts with Humberto Ramos doing the art, but after this issue, I'm convinced now that he's the right person for this story. Everyone looks great. The new Spidey costume looks nice, but the one character that stood out more than Hobgoblin and the new Spidey costume had to be Black Cat. The first page with her was a bit over the top. I still have some minor problems of how exaggerated some body parts look, but I'll overlook it.

    Cons:
Instead of Mac Margan being in the main story, he's featured in the backup story at the end and like most fans predicted (and the fact that Marvel already announced a new Venom), Margan will be back in the future as Scorpion. It feels a bit forced and even more with adding characters like Mach-5 or Spider-slayer.

Overall: I know this doesn't seem like a big deal, but this is 650 issues of Spider-man! Dan Slott delivers another great issue. Can't wait to see what else Pete new suit can do.

Now before you read this please realize I live in London, Ontario where we are currently experiencing the mother of all snowstorms. So the fact that I trekked all the way downtown to grab the latest issue, despite being a day late, speaks volumes   and this was AFTER they plowed about my dedication. That being said this issue may not have been worth the arduous trek but it was still a solid issue.  Picking off from the cliffhanger from the last issue we are introduced to the most creative w...

With a great cliff-hanger last issue, Amazing Spider-Man 650 couldn't come fast enough for me. With it's great storytelling and top notch talent, Amazing Spider-Man has officially gravitated higher and higher in my stack since the start of Big Time. Now perched safely in my top titles, Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos have nearly executed the perfect story arc. Why do I say this you ask? Well, let's swing right into Amazing Spider-Man issue 650 and find out!          Our issue starts with ou...
