    Review: Amazing Spider-Man #645 0

Believing that the "goblin baby" is dead, Spidey goes on the warpath, punishing every single villain involved in this terrible crime. The Good Wow... I've never seen Spidey this badass.  Part of the fun of a thriller like this is the catharsis you finally reach after a long period of frustration. And I thoroughly relished watching Spidey terrorize his rogue's gallery like this. Holy crap... he breaks the Shocker's arm! He rips a whole dock in half! As I said with last issue, Waid's a master of ...

Mark Waid, Paul Azaceta, and Matthew Southworth Spidey's Origin Of Species and they do so with a 'Bang!' After last issue's cliffhanger,Spider-Man is pissed and he isn't stopping until he finds that baby. The book starts with some great dialogue a the police are getting calls from left and right about Spider-Man and the baby.I liked how you didn't see a lot of him at the start of the book as possibly part of the villian's narrative. I really loved the scence here were the supporting fema...

Peter is mad, and he has every right to be.  Pros: When Peter is not making jokes, you should know that he means business. It's amazing that Peter is not in the black costume the way he was going about New York taking half of his rouge gallery down. I mean he's using the shadows to his advantage and tactics like he's Batman! We don't see this side of Peter often, but after being told that the baby he was protecting in the past issues was dead, he has every right to be mad. And the surprise...

    I'm the Goddamn Bat... I mean SPIDER-MAN! 0

Spidey's whirlwind caper continues in #645.  Although his little jaunt through New York with his baby sidekick has been an enjoyable read, I continue to assert that I doubt anything of substance will really come out of the story.  I'm not saying every comic book story has to end in a deeply penetrating change or affectation to the characters involved, but their seems to be something extremely... filler-y about this whole thing.  Does that mean this storyline is completely without its merits?  Of...

    Amazing Spider-Man #645 2

Origin of the Species arc really gets going with this issue.   Summary: Spidey is mad, no scratch that. Spidey is ENRAGED. Basically this whole issue is Spider-Man going around takin' down badies that were involved in the Menace baby kidnapping. Don't want to spoil to much besides that.   Pros: Its great to see Spider-Man in such a different light then what we normally see. Wise crackin' Peter Parker this is not. And it's cool to see spidey staying in the shadows only to pop out and take down th...

Can't read it, as much as I want to. 4

Amazing Spider-Man is Marvels flagship book, yet they continue to allow PAUL AZACETA to do the art. Why? It's awful. His art is so bad I can't read the book. When I look at all the great artists Marvel have at their disposal, I am stunned they let this guy draw on ASM. His characters are indistinguishable. Peter Parker never looks the same from one drawing to the next. This style of art went out of fashion in the sixties, and that's where it should stay.  I couldn't tell you anything about the s...

Okay, so the idea of Batman going crazy now pales in comparison with the idea of Spider-Man going crazy. That's right, in part 4 of Origin of the Species, Spider-Man goes ape-s*** all over his villains, and you better watch out, 'cause he's coming for you! With the end fast approaching, who will live, who will die, who will be changed forever? Let's find out in Amazing Spider-Man 645!   The issue opens with Peter in a science lab making more web-fluid as we cut to the police station from last i...
