Review: Amazing Spider Man #636 0

Kraven the Hunter is reborn, and Spider-Man is dead? What about the rest of the Spider-friends? Will they survive their time with the Kraven family?  The Good This book has a lot of stuff I'd normally hate, but somehow it works incredibly well: resurrections, sons/daughters of heroes/villains, the switcheroo. No one stays dead in comics, ever. However, the idea of bringing a man back to life, who didn't want to live in the first place is something I don't think we've ever seen before, and y...

"He wanted to die like a real boy." 1

With the Kraven family continuing their hunt of the Spider's things have never looked worse for Spider-Man and his "family."  With the return of a hunter, there was a cost to pay.  Now with the resurrection there will be consequences, for more than one character.    What You Need To Know. Spider-Man was apparently killed at the hands of the Kraven's at the end of the last issue, breaking the threads that held their world together.  Through Spider-Man's apparent death,  Kraven the Hunter was resu...

    Kraven's back. 0

After last issue's surprising ending, Kraven has returned from the dead and Spider-man....is apparently killed.  Pros:  The story obviously going towards Kraven. When most supervillains get resurrected, most of them would feel overjoyed. Kraven however, is being cautious. He knows something is wrong. This works well because, while his family is happy to see him again, Kraven is not really up to the whole family thing. I do like the interaction with the "Spiders" with Arana and Aarchne. They have...

The sequel for Kraven's Last Hunt 1

The Story: Kraven has returned from the dead with the violent sacrifice of Spiderman. But something isn't right, something about this whole incident and sacrifice feels wrong, and Kraven would slowly realize and fully understand that his family made a huge mistake when they performed the sacrifice and revived him back from the dead. Kraven would realize that the hunt still continues.   The Good:   - The dialogue is outstanding and perfect, the connection that the characters had with each other ...

    The Hunt Slows Down 0

Plot & Action: Kraven the Hunter reacts to his unholy resurrection while Marvel pulls the predicted bait-n-switch. There's not a ton of noteworthy action as the story slows down to establish Kraven and his family's current state.Character Work: While the plot progression slows down, there's some good character moments for Kaine and Kraven. It was nice to see Kaine's response to Peter's tongue-lashing, but I was much more impressed with Kraven's reaction to being alive. I felt that it was rea...

I have yet to be disappointed! 0

Story: We start out with thinking that Peter is dead! Sasha and the Kraven bunch are trying to please Kraven, but somethings not right with what they did. The spider they sacrificed is not Peter Parker. It's Kaine. Peter is still alive but in poor condition. Kraven is now on the hunt for the real spider. Writing: Excellent. I think this story just keeps getting better. Characters: I have to say I am liking the Kraven bunch. Dialogue: I just love Sasha's dialogue.  Art: Very good. Cover: I though...

OK...this is what i expect from a Spiderman story!!! 0

As the title of the review states above "This is what I expect from a Spiderman story!" It is honestly without a doubt for me the best Spiderman story that i have read since New Ways To Die. I suppose those of you who have graciously  taken the time to read my review, thank you and that this review can easily be a review for the Grim Hunt story thus far. Let me start by sating that Michael Lark's art truly works wonders in depicting the grimness of the situation. With that said, this Spider man ...

    Which Spider was Sacrificed 0

Cover The cover I thought was good and it made me excited to read the issue. Story The Kraven is back and he is not happy because he really does not want to be back. Arana and Aranche are stuck with Madam Web and they know it is all Madam Webs fault that Spider-man is dead. The lion form of Kraven tries to kill the ladies but, Kraven does not let that happen. Mary Jane wants to talk to Peter but, does not know how. MJ also feels that something is wrong but, she does not know what. Kraven finds o...
