"I'm pretty dense for a college graduate."
Shed continues the Gauntlets task of wearing Spider-Man down, one major villain at a time. The Lizard is on the prowl and Spider-Man has to stop him before he gets to someone very special to Curt Conners. Also a familiar face resurfaces, and the Kravinoff's continue to manipulate events.
What You Need To Know.
Spider-Man has been going through a Gauntlet of his greatest foes. One by One they attack the Web-Slinger leaving him exhausted. Peter Parker has lost his job but pursues a relationship with CSI Carlie Cooper. Aunt May is still under the influence of Mr. Negative. The Lizard was unleashed, taking control of Curt Conners. The Good
Zeb Wells' writing has been consistent and entertaining. Kaine and The Kravinoffs.
Peter and Carlie's brief interaction.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man's internal Monologue was both entertaining and insightful.
Curt Conner's internal Struggle with the Lizard was well written. Making Curt a sympathetic character, even though he doesn't speak, and making the Lizard truly a monster.
The Ending was pretty intense.
The Bad
There are two artists in this issue and it's very blatant. The transition doesn't really flow. Also some of the colors are too bright for the panel, specifically Spider-Man when he's looking around the crime scene.
